FixMaster Online is Redland's free-of-charge, online fixing specification service for roofing contractors and other customers fixing Redland slates and tiles.
To comply with UK building regulations it is very important that roof coverings are fixed in accordance with the relevant British Standards.
BS 5534:2014, Slating and tiling for pitched roofs and vertical cladding – code of practice, published in August 2014, is the new standard for calculating fixing specifications for roof slates and tiles, and replaces the BS 5534: 2003 standard.
FixMaster Online calculates fixing specifications based upon both the new and old standards which are both allowed to be used until the old standard is withdrawn on 28th February 2015. You, the user can choose which standard to use.
